BRAND STORY: BEAUTY + WELLNESS WITH EMILY GEIZER
Emily Geizer is a North Carolina-based health, wellness, and beauty coach. She is also a Director at Beautycounter and is proudly helping the company fulfill their mission of getting safe products in the hands of everyone.
Emily believes in natural beauty and wellness that comes from within. Her list of won't dos includes fad diets, processed and fatty foods, and toxic chemicals in cosmetics, skincare, and beauty products. She inspires her clients by example. She's top of her game, and fun to work with.
Emily asked us for help creating a distinct and authentic brand identity for her business, including a redesign of her website.

We began by designing a new logo. Emily hadn't used a logo for her website previously other than a simple logotype. She was using a circle logo with her name in the middle for business cards, so we worked from that base and added some more personality.
We gave the logo a bit of a retro flair in order to match up with Emily's relaxed style, but we kept things clean and modern enough to make sense for the luxury beauty products she sells. We added an attention grabbing banner so the words BEAUTY + WELLNESS would stand out.
Emily's old website was created on Wordpress. The content Emily wrote herself was very good, but the look and feel was constrained and dated.
With our redesign, there are now plenty of pretty full screen images, and the pages scroll down long for an immersive browsing experience. The focus has changed to reflect Emily's emphasis on Beautycounter products. New ways for visitors to learn and engage such as Tutorials have been added as well.
