BRAND STORY: WORLD OF ONE

 

By combining the best of both Eastern and Western medicine, global health advocate and University of North Carolina Professor Amanda Corbett offers education and consultation on an array of accessible wellness solutions for any person, anywhere in this world.

From traditional Western pharmaceuticals to alternative practices such as meditation, yoga, crystal healing, and Reiki, Amanda has a knowledge and passion that spans the entire spectrum of integrated health services.

With the support and encouragement of UNC-Chapel Hill, her full time employer, Amanda asked us to help launch her company with a new name, brand identity, logo, and website so that she could begin to offer services on her own time.

We began by renaming the company from Chakra 4 Life to the more ambitious and distinctive World of One. Amanda had been using the name Chakra 4 Life on a small scale for things like yoga instruction, but as her new business began to develop and come to life it was clear a different name was needed.

We recommended (and Amanda chose) World of One because it communicates her values, beliefs, goals, and mission in several important ways.

Next, we designed a distinctive logo for the new World of One brand. We chose a globe to visually include the entire planet earth, and we added a lotus flower on top with rays radiating outward in order to symbolize blossoming, growth, beauty, and flourishing life. We paired the globe, lotus flower, and rays with a casual script in all lowercase letters to convey an easy flow and accessibility.

Vibrant purple is a personal favorite of Amanda's, and it works nicely with her brand since the color is known to represent peace, wisdom, and devotion.

Amanda was using a generic template as a Chakra 4 Life website, but much more was needed in order to appropriately represent all that she is and does.

With our design, visitors to the World of One website are immediately engaged and impressed by Amanda's heavy-duty qualifications. Most importantly, her passion and dedication to her life's work shines through.

The look and feel brings to mind Angelina Jolie globe trotting as a UN Goodwill Ambassador while looking glamorous in the process, and in reality, that's not far off from the vibe you get when you meet Amanda Corbett in person. Her enthusiasm is palpable, and the new website does a good job conveying that.

An intuitive content structure allows visitors to quickly understand Amanda's expertise and offerings. The new website will undoubtedly allow her to find and connect with the right people.
